About Charm City Tribal

Charm City Tribal provides a venue in Baltimore for tribal fusion and ethnic world influenced bellydance in all its myriad, exciting, and visionary forms. Our gorgeous and raucous shows first began in February 2009. We stage a show for each season -- four shows a year:

February: Bloody Hearts Ball
May: Belly Bacchanalia
August: Hip Hot Summer
December: Dark Moon Gala

Each show features at least one well-known professional dancer or troupe, but also offers opportunities for up and coming performers to share their growing art. Professional drummers and musicians, drum circles, and open dance parties are key elements of the experience. Everyone who comes is invited to join in expressing the rhythms in their own way.

We're all about fostering community. That's why we also seek to grow and inspire our fellow bellydancers by periodically bringing the most talented teachers to the area for special workshops.

Charm City Tribal is a labor of love by the tribal fusion bellydance troupe Lilam: http://lilamdances.com. Spiral is our productions diva, managing event tech, and design work. Scarlett is our way fabulous MC. Talis is our promotions maven. And Jenn is our dancer liason, organizing the show lineups and our workshops.
